We've had the pleasure of meeting Dianna in person and not only is she insanely sweet and relaxed but she also has the most stunning hair ever. It's no wonder her brand Crown Affair has made an impressive impact in the clean haircare space. Everything from the formulations to the aesthetics is top notch.
With a focus on taking time to take care of your hair just as we take care of our skin, Dianna aims to change the way we think of haircare and transform it into a mindful ritual we can't live without.
I started Crown Affair out of a deep love and curiosity for hair. Hair has always been the thing I’ve taken care of — something I’ve found self assurance in. My final accessory before going out the door, the thing that always felt most ‘me’.
I’ve always been the go-to friend for hair advice. I would talk to friends who felt so disempowered by their hair. I consolidated my best tips into a Google doc with the 12 things you should do to care for your hair— all these little things like brushing before bed or using a silk hair tie, or what you should look for in a shampoo based off your lifestyle. The document was shared way beyond my immediate network. It became clear how little guidance and education there was in this category. Realizing the lack of relatability in existing hair care brands, I decided to create Crown Affair.
It's hard to choose just one, but I must say that The Dry Shampoo and The Leave-In Conditioner are my top favorites among the products I've created. I find myself reaching for either one or both of them every day. They offer refreshing and hydrating benefits while allowing me to extend the time between wash days, all while maintaining the health, hydration, and effortless look of my hair.
Maintaining a clear brand identity and mission is paramount. As we adapt to changes in the industry, it's essential to stay true to the core values and essence of Crown Affair. This ensures that our loyal customers continue to resonate with our brand and attract new customers who align with our philosophy.
It’s the impact that our products and brand have on people's lives. Hearing stories from our customers about how Crown Affair has transformed their hair care rituals and improved the health of their hair is incredibly motivating.
Ultimately, the love for hair care and the vision of making hair care a meaningful and enjoyable ritual for everyone is what truly keeps me inspired as I lead Crown Affair on its journey of growth and impact.
My favorite morning rituals involve beginning the day in the kitchen, where I make myself a cup of coffee then sit on the balcony to journal and meditate. I do some stretching while immersing myself in a podcast or poetry via audio.
I’m a verbal processor and easily distracted, so I’ve found that closing my eyes is incredibly helpful when I’m communicating to my team or on a phone call. It quiets any visual distractions and allows me to clearly focus on the thought and also listen in the most mindful way.
Microcurrent facials— I’ve found them to be incredibly effective in providing a tightening and lifting effect on my face. Even though they don't involve extractions, it works wonders in giving my face a noticeable lift!
Be kind to your hair. Pay attention to the ingredients in your hair products, opting for a non-harsh surfactant system in your shampoos or scrubs. Consistency is key, so establish a hair care routine that you can follow regularly. Treat your hair gently— using a microfiber towel to absorb dampness, a wide-tooth comb on wet hair, securing it with a silk scrunchie or a gentle clip. Additionally, incorporating a weekly deep conditioning mask can be a game-changer, providing your hair with much-needed hydration and enhancing its health. By keeping your hair well-hydrated and healthy, you'll find that you can reduce the frequency of using heat tools, leading to longer and stronger hair over time. All of these little actions contribute to the overall health of your hair.

Neada has been an OG sana muse since the very beginning and a clear leader in the clean beauty space. Not only do we fully align with her holistic approach to skincare and the quality and transparency behind her products but we are also admirers of her infectious sense of courage and purpose when it comes to business and life.
With a focus on shifting paradigms around beauty and elevating the experience of natural skin care, Deters self-funded LESSE to encourage others to pare back their skin care rituals for the integrity of their skin and our planet. Personally and through LESSE, Deters remains an advocate for several charitable causes with an emphasis on environmental policy, women’s rights, and protection of the most vulnerable communities.
I’m the founder of LESSE. We create performance-driven skin care with a minimalist philosophy. All of our formulas center on active botanicals, which are natural ingredients that are scientifically proven to be effective.
This reverence for botanicals and obsession with skin care derives from my childhood in Sydney. Caring for and protecting your skin, with natural ingredients and mineral sunscreens, is an inherent part of Australian culture. But my appreciation for efficacy and simplicity is the result of my life in New York, where I’m now based.
Before I started LESSE, I was an editor writing about beauty. I was interviewing the world’s foremost experts and testing every skin care product on the market but I couldn’t find high-performance, all-natural solutions for my own acne, hyperpigmentation, and chronic sensitivities. With years of ingredient and market research as an editor, I decided to create my own.
LESSE is ostensibly simple but, in reality, our formulas are extraordinarily complex. We devote years to rigorous research and development, in order to achieve multi-beneficial results for a diversity of skin needs—and skin tones.
I’m immensely proud of our Every Tone SPF 30. It is the sunscreen I have searched for my whole life, and could only dream of wearing—let alone developing. It took us four years to perfect this universal non-nano zinc SPF 30 which blends into all skin tones, leaving no white cast. It’s also non-comedogenic and wonderful for sensitive skin.
Most mornings I read a little then walk over to Pilates. After my class, I walk home to shower and practice my skin care ritual before a bowl of yoghurt with granola and coffee.
Art, travel, and nature. I’m also constantly inspired by our community and the wonderful people we have the opportunity to work with every day.
Walking. I love to walk—it’s when my mind goes quiet and the beauty of the world opens up around me. I’m incredibly lucky to live in a walking city.
A few books, our LESSE Regeneration Mist and Soothing Lip Balm, and a bottle of water.
Facials, of course!

Pretty good! Just always trying to remember to exfoliate more.
Chug a lot of water, Vital Tonics face mask before and after the flight, taking note of the destination’s local supermarket –– I love stocking up on special salts, teas, spices or cute pantry items as a little souvenir from the trip.

With summer almost in full swing, we feel the urge to get out of town even more than we usually do. Something about the warm weather makes us want to pack our bags and get some much-needed rest & recharge. However, while traveling we sometimes tend to forget about finding time for our rituals. To help, we covered all the skincare bases to make this summertime season extra glow-y and relaxed.
Start your routine before you leave for the airport. Exfoliate the night before your flight and make sure to cleanse + hydrate the morning before your travels. Use a gentle face wash and face moisturizer. Bonus points: Upgrade to a SPF moisturizer to prevent UV damage while you’re in the air.
Being in a plane for even a short flight will zap the moisture from your skin, so you have to be proactive about staying hydrated. Water, water, and more water. Staying hydrated from the inside out is your best defense. Use a product with hyaluronic acid which is a water loving molecule that attracts and holds moisture in the skin + it’s light and non-greasy so it’s great even for the acne prone. We also recommend applying a thick night time facial moisturizer prior to boarding to ensure hydration throughout the trip. Carry along a trusty lip balm so you can quickly apply it when your lips start to feel dry and chapped - which they’re bound to thanks to the dry, stale air in the airplane cabin.
Before you go throwing every skincare product you own into your suitcase, there are a few things you need to consider. Approach travel skincare essentials like you would when packing your wardrobe. You wouldn’t bring every single item of clothing you own; just the essentials that you can easily carry. With skincare, this means paring down your routine while maintaining effectiveness. This might mean sticking to the essentials but leaving the extras behind. You’ll want to consider size and portability for carry-on luggage as well as versatility—find a balance between products that fulfill a number of different functions as well as those that are tailored to a specific need, say an eye cream or a shave kit.
🌞 Movement: stretching, yoga, walking, or running keeps your body grounded and your mood high.
🌞 Alone time: whether it’s taking a long nap, going for a walk or to the beach with a book to recharge yourself.
🌞 Music: dancing lifts your mood like no other and can be the best therapy at times.
🌞 Gratitude: bring yourself back to the present moment and acknowledge the beauty of the now - life is your meditation.
For those who haven't had the pleasure yet.. meet our dearest, Juliet Paris. She started her journey with Sana as a Muse and found her place as our Head Skin Healer at our Wynwood studio location. Sana did. I’ve always had a passion to help others, and I then fell in love with the idea of becoming a Skin Healer when I had my first facial ever at Sana. I manifested myself healing guests’ skin during that appointment.
I'm very intuitive with my slow mornings, in general, moving my body, and spending time with my animals makes me feel present and ready for the day.
I feel a difference with my skin and hormones, even my mood post clean rituals. Clean beauty completes my overall sense of nourishment.
Make some time for yourself to really give your skin some love and focus on your breath during your skincare ritual, rather than slapping on some products.
I’m obsessed with incorporating Vitamin C into my skincare routine everyday, I love looking radiant and glowy as much as possible!
The first time I received a facial at Sana, I knew I would work here. I'm proud to be a part of the best clean beauty community Miami has to offer.
It’s never been better, my process is intuitive and my guests are my best teachers.
Mirror work. I’m kind with how I speak to myself, your cells are always listening to you.
The Professional Grade AHA Sweet Cherry Enzyme peel and Holi(oil) is my all time favorite for glowy skin.
Start simple, look internally first, cleanse your heart, calm your nervous system, then go from there.
Whenever I need to recharge, I love spending time with myself alone outdoors. Taking nature walks, appreciating the beauty of life and treating myself to good food.
A mini road trip to a private beach house with some friends, enjoying a clear minded weekend under the sun.
Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine, Leo by Dreamcastmoe, and Dreams by Fleetwood Mac.
My Chihuahua, Daisy.
I trust the journey of my life, living in the moment, whatever is meant to be can’t be taken from me.
Could never go wrong with some tea, journaling, reflexology, soft music, and freshly exfoliated skin.
I have an internal compass, I never get lost and rarely use a GPS.

Summer is on the horizon, and warmer weather calls for a beauty and wellness refresh. Just in time while you prepare for your summer travels and long beach days. We're sharing some of our go-to products to add to your skincare routine for glowing, healthy and radiant complexion this summertime.
Don't forget to book your monthly facial before and after your summer traveling. Pro tip: for an extra glow up boost, try the Microcurrent Add On with your facial. It creates a lifted, sculpted appearance within minutes, produces collagen in the dermis, helps to unclog pores for a smoother appearance and promotes a deeper infusion of nutrients and vitamins into the skin. Your glow up awaits!
Frown lines, forehead wrinkles... we all get them eventually (and that's fine too!). Luckily for those looking to diminish how deep the fine lines appear, this vibrating skincare tool is just what you're looking for.
This Add On is like a workout for your face. It promotes a sculpted look to keep your skin tighter and rejuvenated. Using the PureLift Pro's patented Triple-Wave Technology, the first wave (low frequency) has an anesthetic effect, the second wave (mid frequency) works in the dermis layer, and the third wave (high frequency) reaches deep to the facial muscles. The pulses are randomized, which means the muscles can never adapt-they have to keep working, which is what brings you results. It feels a little crazy at first when you feel your muscles pulsating, but with regular use, you'll be able to see real results!
Curious? Confused? Probably both. Microcurrent can be thought of as taking your face to the gym once a month. Here are a few reasons why you should give it a go.
- Creates a lifted, sculpted appearance
- Produces collagen in the dermis
- Helps to unclog pores, releasing dirt and debris for a smoother appearance
- Deeper infusion of nutrients and vitamins into the skin
- Zero downtime
- Painless and non-invasive
- Immediate results within minutes; long-term use can also prevent sagging in the future
So now that you know everything there is to know, don't forget to add the Microcurrent Add On to your monthly facial. Your glow up awaits!

In this Muse World feature, we had the honour of interviewing Natalie Viklund + Marie Hansen. Natalie is the Creative Director of AEVI, and Marie is the CEO. Read along to learn about their journey and experiences, their passion for a simple yet meaningful lifestyle.
Marie: Leo Sun, Scorpio Rising and Scorpio Moon.
Natalie: Sagittarius Sun, Aries Rising and Pisces Moon.
Marie: London.
Natalie: Northern Sweden.
We both grew up with sensitive skin (eczema and rosacea) and that is how we learned to navigate the skincare space. We found a lot of the best and most beautiful skincare brands were exclusive in so many ways that when we were presented with the opportunity to create our own, we wanted to change that. Aevi is our Nordic approach — inclusive, open-hearted and welcoming. Our skincare is made for all skin, especially sensitive skin (and sensitive beings), all skin types, all skin tones, all genders and all ages.
Our approach to skincare comes from being in and of Nordic nature all throughout our lives. We focus on simplicity: natural and effective ingredients packaged within a minimalistic design that evokes the Nordic aesthetic and maintains a low environmental impact. Our skincare is first and foremost inclusive, our communication is an open invitation, our products are easy to use, and our price point is approachable. This is what "for everybody, every day" means to us.
Marie: Beauty is something that vibrates through you. True beauty is when the outside is a pure reflection of the inside – it is sharing your truth with others. Natalie has done so much work that she truly is effortlessly herself.
Natalie: To me, beauty lives in us and it lives around us, in all things, at all times, a lot like love. I believe it is up to the seeker to see but there are days when this can feel like a near impossible task. In such times, Marie has taught me another way: to close my eyes and open my heart.
We are very intentional about all our choices. The products must be kind to our skin (including safe for sensitive skin), kind to all the hands that have put in the work to make them and kind to the environment.
Keep it simple, make sure to hydrate and nourish the skin with gentle products, and learn as you go :)
Marie: Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Mist, Pai Oil Cleanser and Aevi Nourishing Face Oil.
Natalie: Karmameju’s face brush, Aevi’s Nourishing Face Oil, and a mist from Aura-soma for the feels!
Marie: Be proud of your uniqueness.
Natalie: Hydration – inside and out. And if you want to feel more beautiful, help others feel beautiful.
We’ve been lucky enough to go at things together so we’ve always been a two women team navigating the industry, each with our own strengths. We’ve learned so much and are so grateful for the many people all over the world that have helped us, shared their experiences and expertise, and continue to learn with us. There have been a number of setbacks but we make sure to constantly encourage each other and at times, clear each other's paths if necessary – we are first and foremost friends and it’s been a joy making more within the industry.
Marie: She never gives up and always finds the beauty in things.
Natalie: Marie is unconditionally loving in all areas of her life and actively puts this into practice at work. Mistakes are made on a regular basis but she never brings any anger or frustration to it – she simply appreciates that we are all doing our best, guides us forward and inspires us to do better next time. She makes us all better at our jobs and kinder as humans.
Holding the hand sanitizer, our first AEVI product, in our hands.
Marie: To my morning meditation and yoga practice followed by coffee :)
Natalie: Morning kisses from my dog Harvey and meditation with him by my side.
We’re working on launching a few new products this year – an eye serum, blemish treatment and a super blue face mask. We’re also expanding in the US and Europe to a few beautiful stores so hopefully you can discover AEVI in a few new cities and spaces soon!
Marie: Immersing myself in nature, going hiking, sleeping underneath the stars…
Natalie: Sun and salt water, somewhere quiet in nature.
Marie: The all over balm – I take it wherever I go.
Natalie: Our AEVI Face Oil – a great protector and it gives me a glow.
Marie: You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Natalie: Don’t take it personally.
Marie: Sana is my absolute glow to facial :)
Natalie: Facial acupuncture.
Marie: Going for a walk, putting flowers next to my bed.
Natalie: A yoga class and leaving my phone at home.
Marie: Heart wisdom hour by Jack Kornfield
Natalie: The goop podcast

I feel like this past month everyone I know (including myself) has been going throuuugh it. An emotional rollercoaster to say the least. With beautiful gratifying moments and moments that leave us in tears questioning if we can handle the weight of our worlds. Simple things have felt daunting. Then something clicked for me. Whatever we are going through, we decide the narrative or channel we tune into. We can choose at any time to look at things with a new perspective. We can tune into a victim narrative or we can choose to view it as a season in our lives. Like with any season, it is temporary and teaches us valuable lessons. So while it is here, instead of resisting it, what can we learn from it?
What reminders has this season shown us, what changes do we need to make?
How can we course correct to live the life that energizes and supports us?
Our thoughts are like a radio, tuning into different energetic frequencies. If we keep tuning into lower vibration frequencies and negative thoughts that is the energy our days will be composed of. This month, I caught myself repeating statements like “I’m so overwhelmed” and “I’m so stressed”. What I realized is through these statements, I kept tuning into this stressed energy. Sometimes victimhood feels good in a weird way or it requires too much energy that you don’t have to shift out of it. But when you make a conscious choice, to change the channel, to tune into a frequency of trust, abundance and positivity, you can see the world in a new light.
Working out, taking time to prepare yourself a meal, resting, letting go of the overthinking mind, laughing and connecting. You can also decide to take action, set boundaries and make changes to better support your wellbeing.
It’s easier said than done and sometimes we must allow ourselves to feel our feelings. But we don’t have to stay in a place that exhausts us. We can choose to take steps towards what makes us feel good. Tend to your life the way you would a garden. Weed, water and plant whatever you desire. Take full responsibility for your power and your joy.
It’s through these seasons that we realize more of what we want in life. The yin and yang. A necessary course correction to the most aligned life. Trust in yourself and your journey. Integrate the lessons. Be your own advocate and know when change is necessary.
Remember, there's a beautiful sunny rainbow at the end of every storm.
Much love,
Valen
Meditation:
Meditation is a deeply nourishing tool for me. I come back to it every morning to soothe my nervous system, clear my mind and connect me to my body. I love this one when you are feeling the weight of the world.
Breathwork:
I have been loving gentle breathwork and connecting deeper with the lifegiving yet soothing power of breath. My body is not a fan of intense breathwork like “fire breathing” which tends to spike my nervous system but I do love practicing long deep breathing exercises to ground, calm and connect me to my yin energy. Particularly obsessed with Emmie Rae’s breath series.
Member Series:
I’m so excited to get our member community together IRL through our Member Series, a curated event series we’ve been working hard on to inspire, expand and connect. Hope you join us!

I’ve been obsessed with this hydrating, glow giving moisturizer for the past months. It’s perfect for everyday and my skin is loving it.

Our professional enzyme peels are a game changer for smoother glowing skin but it’s important to take extra care post facial. Below is the 411 on post facial peel care.
Skip the retinol or exfoliants
To avoid sensitivity during your facial, skip the retinol or exfoliants the week before your facial so your skin will be prepped for professional exfoliation and extractions.
Avoid excess sun exposure
There’s nothing worse than using exfoliants on sunburnt skin. Make sure to take extra care of your skin pre and post facial to get the most benefits.

Your skin might experience sensitivity or slight redness the day of, especially on sensitive skin types. If your skin does experience abnormal sensitivity, an extra calming, heavier moisturizer and upping your water intake is essential to hydrate and soothe your skin.
Facial purging:
Although it’s not the most common, some people do experience skin purges a day or two after a facial due to exfoliation that causes the skin to get rid of debris that was trapped under dead skin buildup.
Minor flaking or peeling:
Again this is unlikely, but if it does happen a calming, heavier moisturizer and upping your water intake will be essential for the next few days. Also avoid picking at the skin to prevent hyperpigmentation from developing.
Love Your Skin Barrier
Use calming, gentle and hydrating products for the week after your professional peel to keep your skin barrier happy. Avoid active ingredients like prescription topicals, AHAs/BHAs, Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinol, and others for at least one week.
Take Extra Care
Avoid touching or picking your face, especially with dirty hands. Sleep on clean pillowcases (bonus points if they are silk) and use clean makeup brushes. Let your skin breathe by going makeup free a few days post facial and up your water intake to hydrate your skin from the inside out.
Book Your Next Facial In 3-4 Weeks To Keep Your Skin Glowing
If you want to continue your glow and smoothing skin goals, we recommend booking our SuperGlow facial designed to lift and brighten the skin. If you do book a Signature, we recommend adding our Professional Peel for a monthly exfoliation, Red Light LED to soothe redness and boost collagen production and our Gua Sha Add On to aid with circulation and lymphatic drainage.
Excess sun exposure
Your skin is more delicate after a peel, so minimize direct sunlight at least 48 hours after your facial to prevent exposing your vulnerable skin to harmful UV rays that may slow down the healing process. Make sure to apply your SPF daily to avoid sensitivity and hyperpigmentation.
Excess heat
Skip the strenuous exercise or sweating after your facial. Your sweat can cause irritation, redness and inflammation. Opt for a long walk or yoga instead. Avoid any steam rooms/saunas prior and post facial. Increased blood circulation to the face can intensify warming, tingling, itching, redness or other uncomfortable side effects on freshly peeled skin.
Retinol or exfoliants
Give your scrubs or exfoliators a rest for a week after your facial to avoid excess exfoliation. We recommend using gentle, hydrating products for the next 48 hours to protect your skin barrier.
Additional beauty appointments
Postpone any microneedling, dermaplaning, waxing, botox, filler or laser treatments for at least 1 week to avoid irritation.
Part of post-facial skincare is maintaining that glow at home with a consistent routine 2-3 days after your facial.
This week we catched up with our Sana Muse, Elizabeth Richardson. She's an amazing yoga teacher based between Miami and NYC. Read along as she shares her love for wellness, self care, flowers, and her inspirations lately. 🌸
Aries.
Miami.
I attend school in NYC and live in Miami. While visiting NY frequently before going back to school, I worked hard to cultivate strong networks both work and play. One day I just finally stopped saying “I'm out of town” and instead made it a priority to be in either city when I'm needed, which so far means half the year in NYC and half in Miami and flying back and forth to either at least a couple times per month. NYC is dense and fast paced, Miami can be slow and serene. Both cities give me what the other lacks. Half of my family is based in NYC and my friends are my family in Miami. Having both just makes me feel more whole.
I live for the morning. I wake up pretty early naturally so drinking warm lemon water and watching the sunrise is a non-negotiable. I also like to get my body moving but not big on working out immediately, I just like to move slow. So I'll go for a walk while practicing a language. For many, our minds are sharpest in the morning so it's a good time to listen to podcasts, an audio book etc. once I'm back home I shower and begin my morning skincare to get ready for the day.
Definitely my yoga practice. I've been practicing for around 10 years so I do enjoy taking classes from other people over a home practice these days. I really prioritize that one hour out of my day as a way to acknowledge my emotional state in an otherwise pretty busy life.
Lately, oldies (my mom would not like hearing me say this) but I realized recently how beautiful lyrics from artists like Stevie Wonder or The Temptations are. Just songs about falling in love. Simple and sweet.
Freedom, anything that's uninhabited. In its natural state.
Laughter, laugh often.
I'm from a really small town in Georgia where as a girl I'd explore the woods around our home and bring home wildflowers by the bunches. I'd even ask my caregiver to boil them in water for me so I could make tea for us. My mom called me her flower child or her little wildflower my whole life and now so does everyone else :)
I've learned over the years it's a little rare when a person's journey into yoga didnt come from a place of being lost and needing to connect with themself. So for me, like many, it was exactly that. I suffered from a sleep disorder from an early age. It's why I began meditating and after injuries in my adult life both physically and emotionally from sport and life, I just needed to take better care of myself. I promised myself I'd practice yoga everyday on August 8th 2013. It taught me to be kind to myself & its changed my entire world. 10/10 highly recommended.
Exfoliants, candles, epsom salts.
My response to this could easily be a book so I'll try to keep it simple. In NYC I LOVE Union Market, yes the grocery store. The location in East Village the entire staff is so lovely and everything is organized so well. They have a great variety of unique snacks and shopping there/perusing is a nice experience for a NYC grocery store which is typically a very chaotic place. Speaking of markets, do not sleep on ChinaTown’s markets. I get so much fresh veggies and unique fruits from family owned stands at great prices and again, lovely people. Speaking of China Town, practice yoga at Sky Ting, period. In Miami, my favorite beaches are in Sunny Isles. Less touristy, more residential and as many know, the further north you go, the more beautiful the beaches. This will sound basic but South Pointe park raised me. I love Sundays on that strip, grabbing a smoothie, a Liloki and sunset dinner at Smith and Wollensky or live music and beer at Monteys. Just simple and sweet every time.. Never giving up my super secret spots though. Dream on! ;)
Tennis.
Yoga, bath, tea.
Trust yourself, you've been right before.
I'm trying to learn as many languages as I can, currently German.
I can definitely black out on good skincare products.

When I get it right, my morning routine typically consists of me warming up water to then drink some hot water with collagen and maybe lemon + some himalayan salt. Then I rinse my face with cool water, brush my teeth and scrap my tongue, stretch, meditate for a minimum of five minutes, set my intention for the day, and journal for another five minutes.
I’ll continue by putting on some toner, vitamin C serum, and my SPF moisturizer, comb my eyebrows and hair, get dressed for work, make some breakfast and eat it before heading out!
Traveling has been inspiring me lately. Also going to museums, other artists, my friends, my boyfriend, and nature.
Beauty to me is honesty, truthfulness, uninhibitedness.
Meditation, hot baths with magnesium salts & clay, drinking tea, eating anti-inflammatory, unprocessed foods, mindful exercising, and quality sleep.
Traveling, listening to music, observing art in various forms, and by creating.
Brown rice pasta, rolled/steel cut oats, nuts and seeds, a variety of spices, olive oil, avocado oil for cooking, canned ethically sourced fish for a quick meal, lentils.
This is a tough one for me, but my moisturizer with SPF.
Spending the day outside, or painting all day.
A delicious batch of nourishing lentils.
Going for walks in nature.
Be proud of yourself; you are amazing.

A deep pore cleansing (aka facial extractions) is key to tackling breakouts and purifying the skin. During your facial, we like to focus on blackheads and whiteheads that are ready to be extracted without causing trauma to the skin or creating scars.
Below is the 411 on post facial extraction care.
Hydrate
Hydrated skin makes it easier for us to extract any blackheads / whiteheads without having to force the skin. Make sure to drink lots of water the week before your facial and use extra hydrating products at home.
Sensitivity:
Your skin might experience sensitivity or slight redness the day of, especially on sensitive skin types.
You might experience facial purging:
Although it’s not the most common, some people do experience skin purges a day or two after a facial due to extractions or exfoliation that cause the skin to get rid of the dead skin and toxins below the surface.
Up Your Hygiene
Among the things you must never do after a facial extraction is touching or picking your face, especially with dirty hands. Bacteria may cause infection, working against your skin’s healing process. Bonus points: pre-wash your pillowcases and makeup brushes. The same goes for towels, or anything else that might come in direct contact with your face for an extended period of time.
Go Makeup Free
Skip heavy make-up for the first few days after a facial. Makeup may irritate and clog pores so it’s best to give your skin a break and let it breathe.
Hydrate
Drink lots of water to help the body flush out toxins, especially after lymphatic drainage massage and gua sha.
Glow baby glow! Bonus points: Add lemon to your water for a vitamin C boost and yummy flavor.
Book Your Next Facial In 3 Weeks To Keep Your Skin Glowing
If your skin is on the congested side, we recommend booking our SuperDetox facial designed to calm breakouts and inflammation. If you do book a Signature, we recommend adding our Double Down Extractions to have more time for thorough extractions, Blue Light LED to soothe redness and kill bacteria and our Oxygen Boost Add On. Bacteria can’t survive in an oxygen rich environment which makes it the perfect boost for an acne fighting facial.
Avoid excess sun exposure
Minimize direct sunlight at least 48 hours after your facial to prevent exposing your vulnerable skin to harmful UV rays that may slow down the healing process. Make sure to apply your SPF daily.
Skip the retinol or exfoliants
Give your scrubs or exfoliators a rest for a week after your facial unless your skin is acne prone and can tolerate BHA’s / AHA’s post facial to avoid any skin purging or breakouts. If you received a professional peel, we recommend using gentle, hydrating products for the next 48 hours to protect your skin barrier and avoid excess exfoliation.
Stay away from excess heat
Skip the strenuous exercise or sweating after your facial. Your sweat can cause clogging, redness and inflammation. Opt for a long walk or yoga instead. Avoid any steam rooms/saunas prior and post facial to prevent any inflammation
Raincheck beauty appointments
Postpone any waxing, botox, filler or laser treatments for good measure.

I’m a big morning person, I’m usually up by 5 am and the first thing I do is drink water and go through my emails and text messages and reply to whoever I can so I’m cleared for the morning. I then make my bed, brush my teeth, wash my face and gua sha. If I’m hungry I’ll eat, if I’m not I’ll probably fast until after my workout which happens at noon. Between everything, tons of calls and meetings are usually happening.
Every aspect of life inspires me! Everything from nature to cars, flowers, the way food looks, tastes and smells, music - beats, lyrics, conversations, textures, feelings, work, my iPhone, social media.. literally everything.
Beauty to me is being who you are in the most polished way.
I gua sha with my cleanser! Game changer for skin that clogs up quickly. I use the cleansing balm from Augustinus Bader, it has the best consistency.
Contrast therapy is my new go-to which is Sauna followed with a cold plunge or cryotherapy. Lymphatic massages, facials, colonics (whenever necessary) and magnesium every night!
I love to workout as much as possible and check into a spa every once in a while to try all different types of treatments.
“P50” toner, the Irobol serum for acne from Biologoque, The Cream and Rich Cream by Augustins Bader, Moroccan oil, and gel for my hair.

As the saying goes, “most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a day and underestimate what they can accomplish in a year.” We are so hyper aware of our day to day schedules that we miss the major lessons that we learn, process and integrate throughout the months and years. It’s important to step back and take time to reflect on where we have grown, where we need to improve and what lessons we’ve been integrating. This year I’ve been continuing to learn the lesson of surrender. Of loosening the tight grip of control. Of trusting and allowing people, circumstances and situations to be as they are. Releasing the resistance to “what is” that creates tension in our bodies, our minds and our lives.
I’ve learned perspective is everything and we always have the opportunity to change the way we view a situation. We have the power to change our thoughts and energy, whenever we please. The ego will tell you to hold on but once you release and allow yourself to start again, your heart will find relief. I’ve learned to always put myself in others' shoes but know when to place boundaries and prioritize my needs. Because I cannot be there for others if I myself am depleted. I’ve learned that we can always start again. That we are truly our greatest teacher and healer. If we listen closely to what our fears, anxieties or frustrations are trying to tell us, we can alchemize them and expand beyond what we could have imagined.
I’ve learned we are all too damn hard on ourselves. (Speaking with friends, I couldn’t believe the pressure they are putting on themselves. When I realized I do the same). It’s time to love ourselves deeper. Speak kind words to yourself, create moments of joy in your day, release the tension in your shoulders, take a deep breath. It's all good.
I’ve learned that each of us are infinitely expansive. Keep learning, reading, exploring, creating. Don’t be afraid of your dreams. Go after them. Step by step. Day by day. But rest when you need to. You have so much magic to give to this world. But just your beingness, is what draws others to you. So don’t attach your identity to your accomplishments. Instead, how do you treat others? Are you respectful of people’s time and energy? Are you a good friend? Are you kind to yourself? Do you live in gratitude for the simple breath in your lungs? Did you look up at the sky or stare into nature today?
It’s exciting to “do.” But make sure you are enjoying the exquisite nature of being.
Anyways, that’s where I’ve been. Where have you been?
Love,
V

Photography has always been around me since I was a kid so in a way a really connect to my inner child through it. Beauty (in general) will always inspire me but human beings soaking in the simplicity of life really calls my eye.
Yes — when it comes to fashion it’s about creating a dream and I really try to stay true to my beliefs in terms of inclusivity and raw beauty. when it comes to travel, hospitality for me is about humanizing the experience yet elevating it in an editorial and creative way that’s inviting. yet everyday life it’s where i really can have full creative control and be more playful with my eye, is a collaboration between me, my intuition and composition.
Acne has taught to surrender when I have no control and that when I get a pimple or two — that has no relation whatsoever with my confidence about feeling good with myself and feeling beautiful. What has helped me the most has been the love, patience and compassion i have and always will for myself. My biggest advice would be to educate yourself in clean beauty and get to know your skin and what works for it.
The moment where I couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror after going to multiple dermatologists and not feeling comfortable with their prescriptions. That’s when I started learning about clean beauty through sana’s healers and got really inspired after seeing changes on my skin.
I’ve always been in love with raw beauty. But it’s easy to say that about others and not really feeling like that about yourself. Going through acne made me really fall in love with all those sides of myself where I struggled feeling comfortable.

Aging is inevitable and comes for all of us. And what a great thing, isn’t it? To age means to live, and may we all be so lucky to do so long enough to develop fine lines and wrinkles. If you start to see some pop up on your own face, just take it as a sign that you're living fully—there's a reason they are called expression lines. While you age, it's important to support your skin health so it can perform, look, and feel its best for longer. That's why this guide exists: To go over what exactly your skin care routine should look like to support maturing skin. These types of rituals are typically labeled as "anti-aging" skin care rituals. We are not against aging in the least. These steps are simply to help our muses treat their skin with kindness as it matures so it can perform as best as possible. Let's get into it.
- HYALURONIC ACID : Starting in your 30s and 40s, hyaluronic levels begin to decrease, which is what makes fine line and deep wrinkles more noticeable. When applied topically, hyaluronic acid can help replenish and retain cell moisture (it holds 1,000 times its weight in water), which is why it’s such a common ingredient in both serums and moisturizers—particularly in formulas targeting mature skin.
- RETINOL : For wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and invisible photodamage, looking to retinol, a derivative of vitamin A that when applied topically, promotes skin renewal, brightens skin tone, clearing up hyperpigmentation, and aids in production of collagen. It can be especially beneficial in tending to eye-area concerns, working in combination with peptides to stimulate new collagen, and in turn, support the laxity of the tissue.
- VITAMIN C : Another key ingredient for brightening up a dull complexion and erasing sun spots is vitamin C, which helps treat and fight against free radical damage that causes oxidative stress and skin aging. The powerhouse antioxidant also works to fade away hyperpigmentation. Find the right concentration for your skin type in a serum or moisturizer. Also important to note, most potent forms of vitamin C are vulnerable to light exposure, and therefore the use of vitamin C must go hand-to-hand with broad-spectrum UVA/UVB coverage.
- PEPTIDES : They can stimulate skin to make more collagen. They also have preventative benefits that reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Peptides have anti-inflammatory properties that could soothe irritation or redness.
It’s important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so take these guidelines with a grain of salt. With that said, these are our glow ritual essentials.
When we pack our diet with vibrant foods loaded with antioxidants, healthy fats, water, and essential nutrients, our body will show its appreciation through its largest organ: our skin. After all, the skin is often the first part of our body to show internal trouble, and there’s only so much that lotions, creams, masks, and serums can do before we need to take a closer look at what’s fueling us. Here are 10 of the best anti-aging foods to nourish your body for a glow that comes from within.
Beauty from the inside out. If you haven't added a skin-care-focused supplement to your routine, then there's no time like now. Topical clean products are great for addressing surface-level concerns of the skin, but for overall support, oral supplements can aid in hydration, elasticity, firmness, and tone. Of course there is no such thing as a miracle pill for skin or any 'skin glow' shortcut… However, supplements usually contain ingredients we know to play important roles in skin functions and overall health. There are many healthy aging ingredients to consider, such as antioxidants and collagen support. They are an excellent place to start if you're new to skin supplements!
Embrace your skin above all, but also be gentle with it and protect your skin barrier. You want to treat it as a dry or sensitive skin type, even if it’s not. Find out which type of chemical exfoliator your skin likes most, and exfoliate every few days instead of once or twice a week.
Go to product : The Renew Linne Serum.
It is a great option for daily serum that helps to gently exfoliate without being too harsh. It contains Vitamin A and C, aka rejuvenating in a bottle.
Caring for your skin at any age is important. It is only natural to want to help support your skin by improving the look and feel of your complexion throughout the years. Just remember that how you treat your soul is how you treat your skin. Both need nourishment, care, and love; gentle is the name of the game when you're looking to care for yourself in any shape and form. Growing older is not the opposite of youth. Aging is part of the continuum with old and young coexisting. Aging brings many gifts. With time, we are able to slow down, let go of things that don’t really matter and enjoy what matters most. We get to find meaning and authentic happiness in our later years of life. Mindfulness can help us to experience aging with ease and joy. Don’t let the quest for youth, or the beauty standards society tends to pressure us women with, make you forget all the best parts of maturity. Make every laugh your heartiest, every smile from ear to ear, because those laugh lines represent the best parts of your life, and you should be reminded of all the happy memories when you look at them.
If you have dry skin, you know that finding the perfect skincare ritual can mean the difference between a flaky, eternally tight-feeling visage and a comfortable, glowing complexion.Though it can be uncomfortable, dry skin is not at all uncommon. Dry skin means that your face can't protect itself as well as it should from the environment. When the skin is dry, it develops tiny cracks in the outer layer, interfering with its ability to maintain hydration properly. Fortunately, there are ways to care for dry skin with a daily ritual to ensure a hydrated, glowing complexion.
Here is the definitive guide for preventing, soothing, and dealing with dry skin.
- HYALURONIC ACID : Plays an important role in hydrating your skin and maintaining its elasticity. Its water-binding properties help replenish your skin and also prevents early signs of aging.
- GLYCERIN : It has hydrating properties that can relieve your skin from feeling dry and itchy, because of it being a humectant. Glycerin works by attracting moisture from the environment onto the surface of your skin.
- JOJOBA : A great emollient, softening and smoothing your complexion. When combined with occlusive ingredients it also helps protect the skin barrier, reducing trans-epidermal water loss and sealing in moisture. At the same time, because it does act so similarly to our skin's oil, it helps balance out those levels, useful for anyone dealing with either too much or too little natural oil.
- CERAMIDES : These are skin replenishing ingredients, like the cement that supports the bricks of a building. They make up and repair your skin’s barrier, which prevents water loss and retains moisture.
- PANTHENOL : is an ingredient that penetrates through the skin and imparts moisture to the cells. It also prevents trans-epidermal water loss. This means that it improves skin barrier functions by stimulating cells that boost the same.
It’s important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so take these guidelines with a grain of salt. With that said, these are our glow ritual essentials.
For those prone to dryness, or with conditions like psoriasis and eczema, monthly facials are a great way to up their hydration and protective barrier efforts. Also, oxygen treatments are especially effective for hydrating dry skin, as the oxygen increases circulation, improves skin texture, restores cell nourishment and stimulates collagen production. We love this add on to boost our glow.
Here are some tips you can take to help soothe and nourish your dry skin inside out.
Come from age or dehydration, you want to work on gently exfoliating when dealing with surface dryness. If caused by dehydration, adding electrolytes to your water, or a pinch of Celtic sea salt can help boost hydration through these minerals. Adding more fruits to your diet is also beneficial as you get more hydration from fruits than water. You may also be needing more layers within your ritual, such as a serum, oil, or moisturizer.
Go-to product : Anima Mundi Collagen Booster.
Helps boost the body’s natural production of collagen, as well as restore and maintain the skin’s youthful glow.
My favorite highlight ingredient within the formula is the Helichrysum. It’s a flower (great for brightening) that usually grows in the south of France; fun fact, once picked, it never loses its color.
There’s no overnight fix for healthier, more hydrated skin. The two most fundamental steps of nourishing your skin are hydration and moisturization. To keep your skin healthy and young, hydrating it from the inside out is a must. Besides drinking enough water, following a proper skincare ritual, eating water-rich foods, and practicing healthy lifestyle habits are essential to enjoy moistured, healthy skin all year round.
Ever wondered why your skin reacts to the smallest of things? Well, this probably means you deal with sensitive skin like many of us. Sensitivity is subjective, and frequently self-diagnosed. You may notice redness, stinging or irritation after using certain products or upon encountering a particular ingredient, or perhaps your skin reacts readily to changes in climate. Because your skin is so reactive, it’s essential to establish a skincare ritual in order to maintain and care for the skin. This will help reduce any symptoms of irritation, and help keep your skin nourished and healthy.
Lifestyle changes can also cause the development of sensitive skin, even if your skin was previously dry, oily, or anywhere in between. Have you changed your diet? Have you changed your lifestyle? Have you had increased stress lately? For the majority of us the answer to all of the above — at least at some point over the past few pandemic-ridden years — is yes. Those changes can track in the skin. Read on to learn about some tips we’ve found works best for sensitive skin.
- NIACINAMIDE : Can improve skin hydration by preventing evaporation of moisture from the skin into the environment. It's also a natural anti-inflammatory ingredient, so it's great for calming irritated skin but also good for people with sensitive skin.
- CHAMOMILE EXTRACT : known for its purifying and calming properties – assuaging aggravation and the appearance of redness – making it suitable for sensitive skin types. It can reduce the appearance of redness and help to calm skin.
- PANTHENOL : Another calming and softening ingredient. It can aid in relieving itchiness and irritation.
- ALOE VERA : Can help soothe and lessen aggravated skin, making it a go-to for skin vulnerable to reactivity.
- ROSEHIP : With high levels of essential fatty acids, especially omega-3 (linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid), rosehip seed oil can effectively soften skin and improve skin barrier function. It brightens and evens out the skin, regenerates and heals, helps with anti-aging, elasticity, and collagen production.
It’s important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so take these guidelines with a grain of salt. With that said, these are our glow ritual essentials.
There are food choices that we can add to our diet that help reduce the risk of inflammation. In general, an overall healthy diet, including more natural and less processed foods, is ideal for your skin, such as the Mediterranean diet, which is high in fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains, fish and healthy oils. We put together a few food options that soothe + promote healthy and healing effects.
Our skin speaks to us. It sometimes may yell at us with a whole-body flare. It sometimes whispers with a tingling itch. To get our skin to stop yelling, is as simple as to stop ignoring it. We’re becoming increasingly aware of the deep connection between the mind and the body. In addition to emotional symptoms such as worry, anger, or fear, stress and anxiety can also present in a number of ways in our bodies. They can cause excessive itching, which may manifest in the form of rashes, hives, eczema, psoriasis, and acne. A nourishing daily ritual will keep the skin happy and quiet. When the skin is silent, think of it as it’s way of saying thank you—“thank you for caring for me, thank you for listening to me.”
In many instances sensitive skin gets confused with reactive skin. They don’t necessarily go hand-to-hand, and tend to get grouped together and treated equally. Reactive skin can be caused by heat, herbs, or medicine. While sensitive skin can be a dryer skin where the sensitivity comes and goes. Being mindful of gentle products that work on the external while doing the work internally is key for each of these skin types.
Go-to : Start your mornings with Gua Sha - it makes all the difference!
Sensitive skin is no walk in the park. Let’s just say your skin has high standards. Whether it’s redness from the sun, irritation from products or environmental allergens… You’ll experience unpleasant moments that go along with your skin’s sensitivity. The key is learning which ingredients do and don’t work for your skin’s unique needs. Remember the importance of reading labels carefully, patch testing diligently, and slowing down. Sit down, relax, and breathe. Do something that you love, it could be anything from dancing, watching a movie, taking a soothing bath… A healthy, calm mindset helps nurture your skin.
Blemishes, bumps, pimples, breakouts… There are plenty of words used to speak about the many different types of acne that many of us can relate to. In most cases, acne happens because the pores in your skin are clogged due to excessive oil, bacteria, skin cell production, or because of hormonal changes, stress, and anxiety. So often we rush through our rituals and simply slather products on… It’s important to slow down and spend time with your skin, to listen to its needs, nurture it and awaken its inner radiance.
We spend so much time trying to figure out why our skin breaks out. Is it hormones? Is it what I'm eating? Am I allergic to something? Am I using the wrong products? Acne is a frustrating condition. It's frustrating to take good care of your skin every day and still break out. It's frustrating to try treatment after treatment and still have acne. It's understandable to feel disappointed at moments, but in times of feeling hopeless, keep in mind it takes time for any ritual to work. Improvement comes slowly and we must have patience with ourselves. Finding support in understanding friends + family can go a long way in helping you cope with acne. Know that your intentions matter and that your skin is a journey. Remember to be kind and loving towards yourself; you’re doing the best you can while surrendering to the process. We’ve put together a comprehensive guide to support you on your journey to clear skin.
- SALICYLIC ACID : When our pores get clogged with dead skin cells and oil, blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples often appear. Salicylic acid penetrates your skin and works to dissolve the dead skin cells clogging your pores.
- COLLOIDAL SULFUR : Sulfur works by softening and thinning the epidermis to prevent clogged pores. Oily and acne-prone skin types, take note because sulfur might be the zit-fighting and oil-zapping ingredient you’ve been in need of. It works best for breakouts that are formed with a combination of dead skin cells and excess sebum. These include milder forms of acne, such as whiteheads and blackheads.
- ZINC OXIDE : It works as a skin protectant that effectively reduces the production of sebum and soothes the inflammation, thus, it won’t burn. It helps speed up the process of healing during acne treatment.
- NIACINAMIDE : It helps regulate the skin’s production of sebum, a type of oil produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin. Overproduction of sebum is linked to moderate to severe acne breakouts. Adding topical niacinamide to your daily skincare routine might be the missing piece to your good skin puzzle.
After spending a lot of time trying countless products and rituals, we have found some helpful tips to maintain clear skin and want to share them with our muses.
For those with severe acne, consistent monthly facials help control breakouts and inflammation by cleaning out the pores fully. They are a crucial part of the process of repairing the skin, and an important form of preventative care. We recommend our ultimate SuperDetox facial for congested skin.
It’s safe to say that our diet is one of the first steps to consider to balance our skin’s appearance. Deciding to cut out dairy, sugar, and processed foods can make a big impact. Even if it’s controlling the amount of intake and not entirely cutting it out - because we’re human after all!
- FOOD ELIMINATION : Dairy, gluten and eggs have been found to be triggers for acne and inflammation in some people. Trying out a food elimination diet can help you identify which potential triggers are responsible for your skin’s reactions. We recommend cutting out one food or category at a time for 2-4 weeks to really see a difference and learn from your skin. If you see your skin getting clearer or less reactive after cutting out dairy for example, we recommend adjusting your diet in the long run to benefit your skin and having dairy as a once in a while treat if you are still craving it.
- WATER : Proper hydration is of huge importance; whether it be through water rich foods or minerals. Your best defense against dehydration is prevention. Certain fruits and vegetables contain plenty of water in addition to healthful nutrients. Watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe, peaches and pineapples are fruits with high-water content. Water-rich vegetables include cucumbers, leafy greens, radishes, celery, zucchini and tomatoes.
- PROCESSED OILS : High in hydrogenated fats, vegetable oils are one of the biggest offenders when it comes to triggering acne. Look out for processed oils in your food such as canola, grapeseed, soybean, sunflower, safflower, peanut, and palm, which are rich in omega-6 fats. Too much omega-6 can lead to an inflammatory state, which in turn exacerbates acne and accelerates the aging process.
- BROCCOLI : It is the perfect skin-clearing food. Broccoli contains a compound called Diindolylmethane (DIM) that supports the detoxification of excess estrogen through the liver and blocks the male hormones that cause acne.It also contains vitamins A, B complex, C, E, and K. These antioxidants fight radical damage and make your skin glow.
- TEA : Green tea contains powerful antioxidants that can combat the free radicals that are bothering your skin and your immune system. The healthier your immune system, the better your skin.
Also, sipping some spearmint tea helps kill skin disease-causing yeasts and bacteria + it’s anti-inflammatory. It is also great for hormonal breakouts because it helps reduce acne-inducing testosterone in the blood.
- AVOID BIOTIN : It’s a vitamin found in a variety of foods such as eggs, salmon, avocados, and almonds. Biotin can also be taken as a supplement to aid in the growth of new hair, skin, and nails. However, it may be a contributing factor to acne breakouts because it is associated with the production of sebum oil in the skin glands. Excess oil on the skin is one of the leading causes of acne breakouts, and if you are taking a supplement that increases this, it is likely to trigger more problems with your skin.
- SUPPLEMENTS : Probiotics calm internal and external inflammation, restore skin barrier function, and offer protection from harmful environmental particles. While anyone can benefit from probiotics, they will be especially helpful for those with inflammatory skin conditions like acne, eczema, or rosacea, or anyone suffering from dryness or sensitivity due to a disrupted skin barrier.
Start from the gut. Prioritize good gut & liver health. Happy liver = happier skin.
Go-to product: Super You Moon Juice Supplement. One of its main ingredients is Ashwagandha, which reduces the effects of stress and helps support the liver.
Whether you’re a young teen, or an adult, experiencing acne can cause us to feel anxious, helpless and insecure at moments in our lives. Besides having a healthy skincare routine + lifestyle, putting in time to make sure we’re in a better mental place plays a big role. Don’t forget to tend to your own inner garden and take time for yourself. A positive, happy mind will not only help you feel better but will also help you heal your skin. Prioritize nourishing yourself through stretching, moving your body, staying hydrated, eating healing foods, taking time away from social media, spending time outdoors, laughing… It’s these simple day-to-day rituals that help us set a positive tone in our lives. Our skin is a living organism – it protects and guides us if we are listening. Just as our bodies change daily, our skin does too. Send love to where you need it most. Be proud of your journey, your ups and especially your downs. Remain consistent, persistent and patient with your journey. Remember self love is the biggest healer so treat yourself with the kindness you deserve.
A big component— and signal— of healthy skin is a natural glow, but lack of sleep, stress, and what you eat can strip your complexion of its radiance. Skincare starts in the gut, so what you eat and how you digest is as important as the products you put on. Skin brightening focuses on banishing dullness, reducing hyperpigmentation, and removing dry, flaky skin, which can make you look tired, with uneven tone. With time, we’ve noticed a huge difference when you begin to look at things from the inside out. Aside from caring for your skin on the surface, often the biggest change can be seen once you start fueling your skin cells from the inside. Of course, an inside-out glow doesn’t start and stop with just a healthy diet and self love. Stimulating the skin and encouraging blood flow beneath brings life back to a lackluster complexion.
We’ve put together a comprehensive guide to support you on your journey to brighter skin.
- GLYCOLIC ACID : It’s the best ingredient to unclog the pores and prevent buildup. Glycolic works by weakening the binding properties of the lipids that hold the dead skin cells together. This allows the dead skin cells to be exfoliated, exposing live healthy skin cells. The result is much smoother skin and a more youthful appearance. A secondary benefit is your skin’s new ability to draw moisture from the environment and for products to penetrate deeper and boost health in the new, fresh skin cells.
- LACTIC ACID : helps to remove old, dull cells on the skin's surface by dissolving the bonds that hold them together. As a result, it provides a brighter complexion, as well as smoother and softer skin.
- VITAMIN C : A powerful antioxidant that has the ability to lift, firm, and tighten the skin while providing environmental and free-radical protection. With frequent use, lines will appear far less pronounced, facial contours more defined, and skin tone will visibly improve for noticeably healthier-looking skin. A major reason you need to have antioxidants (like vitamin C) in your routine is because they stabilize reactive oxygen species (free radicals), hence the name ANTI-oxidants.
- NIACINAMIDE : A form of vitamin B-3. This essential ingredient helps build proteins in the skin and offers protection against environmental damage. When applied topically, it improves overall skin texture by rebuilding the lipid layer, minimizing the appearance of pores, and preventing UV damage and inflammation as an antioxidant. It also minimizes redness and blotchiness, treats hyperpigmentation, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, and helps treat acne.
- RETINOL : It exfoliates the skin, increases skin cell turnover, and stimulates collagen production. It is considered the gold standard for its anti-aging and skin-clearing benefits. Retinoids (retinol/tretinoin/retin-A) help everything from texture to scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and overall skin firmness and plumpness. It’s the ultimate multitasking ingredient to help combat the signs of aging and breakouts. For brighter, youthful-looking skin there’s no ingredient as effective as retinol. There are levels to this, so you start mild and slowly build up your tolerance to stronger and stronger retinoids. Also important to note, use sunscreen every morning, as retinol can increase your skin’s photosensitivity. We highly recommend not using retinol during the day.
- PEPTIDES : Chains of amino acids that are the building blocks of proteins like collagen (thickness) and elastin (firmness) in the skin, responsible for the texture, strength, and resilience of the skin. When peptides form a long chain of amino acids, they become proteins. When they are in a short chain of amino acids, they are able to penetrate the top layer of our skin and send signals to our cells to let them know how to function. Peptides applied topically to the skin can send a signal to collagen to prompt the formation of new collagen, and voilà, you have the appearance of more youthful, supple skin.
- ZINC : It encourages the production of collagen fibers and elastin, which firm the skin. By supporting the underlying structure of the skin, zinc works to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and other signs of aging. It’s also a strong anti-inflammatory agent, so it reduces redness and speeds up healing time. An added bonus is that it’s antibacterial, so it helps to reduce swelling and irritation caused by breakouts.
- HYALURONIC ACID : A naturally occurring polysaccharide in the human body. It is a powerful humectant (aka moisture-binding ingredient) that keeps the skin plump, hydrated, and youthful. Being a humectant, HA helps bind water to collagen, trapping it in the skin so it becomes more supple, dewier, and more hydrated. It’s known for its impressive ability to attract and retain 1,000 times its weight in moisture. Ever wondered why a baby’s skin always looks so flawless and dewy? Drumroll pls… the reason is that babies are born with a high level of hyaluronic acid.
It’s important to note that everyone’s skin is different, so take these guidelines with a grain of salt. With that said, these are our glow ritual essentials.
Nothing improves the skin more strikingly than a deep pore-cleansing treatment. Monthly facials are a crucial part of the process of repairing the skin, and an important form of preventative care. To reverse dull skin for a more glowing complexion we highly recommend our favorite glow up facial.
- Collagen Supplement : Enhance your natural allure with Agent Nateur's Holi(mane). This formula combines two daily powerhouse super foods: marine collagen and pearl powder. Odorless and nearly tasteless, this blend is abundant in over 30 trace minerals, including silica, magnesium, calcium and potassium that support the appearance of optimal skin health. Make it a morning routine with your breakfast smoothie or an evening ritual with your glass of water before bed.
- Add to your wellness ritual an antioxidant formula. Our favorite is Moon Juice's SuperBeauty that works to protect you from accelerated aging while promoting collagen production, elasticity, and cell vitality.
- Sea moss : Derived from red algae, sea moss hosts a few benefits for the skin, making it a skincare powerhouse. Known to help reduce wrinkles, hydrate the skin and protect from environmental elements because it contains essential elements that make up the human body, including calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin A, and vitamin K.
Find the perfect balance of exfoliation and incorporate products that work to improve your skin’s health and function at the cellular level. I recommend lactic acid, niacinamide, as well as serums that compliment what you’re looking for. Also, practice good protection before stepping into the sun; a cute hat, scarf, or SPF.
Go to product : Agent Nateur Holi(Oil) Youth Serum.
My favorite highlight ingredient within the formula is the Helichrysum. It’s a flower (great for brightening) that usually grows in the south of France; fun fact, once picked, it never loses its color.
Beauty starts from the inside out. From the supplements you put into your body + the products you apply on your skin, to the energy you allow to enter your headspace; the root of beauty stems internally from the fuel you feed it. Nothing screams glow up like finally doing the things you love. We know, it’s hard to find time… but it’s time to make a little time! Spend moments doing the things you love, whatever that may look like for you. Remember the ultimate goal of glowing up is all about how you feel. You can work your way towards naturally glowing skin with a skincare ritual that works best for you, making healthier changes in your lifestyle where necessary, and most importantly, by keeping a positive and loving attitude towards yourself. Glow on Muse!
By now, we all know that oxygen is vital for breathing and living.. but did you know it’s also essential to how your skin looks? It strengthens the skin's elasticity and helps eliminate acne-causing bacteria, as well as reduce fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone, and diminish pores. Read along for more about why you'll fall in love with this Add On.
This Add On is an infusion of pure oxygen and antioxidant filled serum that re-energizes cells, plumps skin and nourishes with hydration. It also soothes the skin and helps to keep moisture and softness post treatment - like a moisture blanket. Essentially, it's a more powerful version of a face mist used with an oxygen infuser. This tool uses oxygen to blast the product on with force, creating noticeably plumper skin and that coveted glass skin effect.
Many assume that moisture alone is the key to dewy, hydrated, glass-like skin, but our skin's oxygen level also matters. If our skin is starving for oxygen, then collagen and elastin are suffering, too, which shows up in lines, wrinkles, sagging, and other signs of visible skin aging. The pressure from the blast of oxygen sends ingredients into the skin more deeply and more evenly. On a microscopic level, there are many nooks and crevices on our skin that with the help of this tool, get their much needed dose of product. Your skin will glow like you were sent from heaven above to grace the Earth with your radiant complexion. Seriously though, your skin will look and feel plumper, and your complexion will be radiating.
Give it a go by adding the Oxygen Glow Boost Add On to your monthly facial. Your skin will thank you later.

Self-love is more than just self-care; it’s a superpower. It’s not a destination but a practice about accepting and nourishing every layer of yourself. As we practice it, layer by layer, we learn new ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling. We’re walking you through some ways of planting the seeds of kindness to eventually see them bloom. To begin the journey of self-love, implement healthy ways of pampering the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
Indulge in whatever makes you feel good. Take some extra time to tap into yourself and do things that you need in that moment. It’s important to treat yourself to a wind-down ritual. We love a gua sha face massage with a nice face oil, or a scalp massage.
Have a full-on date night with yourself. Create your own oasis in the comfort of your home. Light some candles, do a hair treatment and put a face mask in the bathtub while reading, or listening to music. You deserve some relaxation time.
Self-compassion provides us with the best mindset for growth through love. It teaches us to embrace and welcome every part of ourselves, including the messy, imperfect parts. When we feel this internal safety and courage, we allow ourselves to discover the wildest and softest parts in us, and to share them with others. Train your mind to stop judging or focusing on what you think is lacking or wrong with you. Let go of the need to always “fix yourself”, and to compare yourself to others. Instead, treasure your blessings and your unique qualities that make you, you.
Sometimes we tend to be too harsh on our bodies or take them for granted. Your body is a vessel, and if you treat it with love and care, it will give that back to you by giving you the energy you need and allowing you to be healthy and thriving. Practice touching each part of your body and say: ‘I love you. You’re beautiful as you are. Thank you for all that you do.’ It’s important to show your body respect and appreciation.
Through the act of romanticizing your life, you become more in touch with your actions, thoughts, and emotions as you go about your day. How we romanticize our lives looks different for each person as it depends on what brings each of us joy. Pay attention to the simple pleasures in your daily life and use those as a starting point to love yourself more on a regular basis. Ways to romanticize everyday life :
- Spend time in nature and appreciate the beauty of the world around you.
- Notice the small things and appreciate those little moments in life that often go unnoticed, such as a sunny day, the sound of birds chirping, or catching a sunrise and sunset.
- Make meaningful connections with others.
- Treat yourself to monthly rituals with our Sana membership—an ongoing support system on your skin journey.
- Reduce your screen time and find satisfaction with other, more fulfilling activities.
- Make time to enjoy reading a book.
Start living from a place of connection to a higher source, whether you call it gratitude, the universe, god, love, life —whichever it may be, learn to trust in it and surrender to it. When your head hits the pillow every night, congratulate yourself for honoring yourself that day, and for connecting to your heart and true self.
